In partnership with Resilient, Ascendus is pleased to provide all our new borrowers with a group term life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance policy when you take out a loan with us. In return for being a customer and repaying your loan on time each month you will maintain a $50,000 Life Insurance policy with a $50,000 AD&D rider. You will not have to pay to receive the benefits of the policy as Ascendus will bear the cost of all the insurance premium payments.

Inclusive Insurance

Insurance is complicated enough and we don’t believe in making things more complicated than they need to be. So, we’ve kept things simple: all you have to do is create an account on our website and pay your monthly balance on time each month to keep your coverage active. If you pay on time, you will be covered for the following month. For example, if you make your first payment in January, your first month of coverage will begin in February, when you make your payment in February, you will be covered for March - and so on. Really that’s it.

How it works

  1. Sign up for an account within 30 days of closing your loan (don’t forget you can sign up as soon as you apply too!)
  2. Make your first payment in month 1, insurance is active now in month 2
  3. Name your beneficiary (the person or people you would like to receive the money). We will also offer you the option of automatically notifying them that the policy exists if you wish to do so.
  4. Continue making on-time payments and keep your coverage
